Every institution possesses a story and that story is made up of people. For over 160 years, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï has endeavored to faithfully serve Baptists and the broader evangelical world. However, do you know the stories of the men who built and shaped the seminary? Our story is worth telling! Join us for a ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï History Tour of the historic Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville!

  • The tours will run from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
  • Meet at the Charleston Room at 10am and depart from there to the cemetery.
  • Stop at 6 locations including 3 ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï plots as well as other individuals tied to the history of the SBC and ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï.
  • Open to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The tours are FREE and will be capped at ten people.

Serve alongside the Southern Seminary and Boyce College community as we work to show the love of Christ to our Louisville neighbors.

Saturday April 18, 2026 | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Breakfast, coffee, and free t-shirts will be provided for those who participate. Tools will also be provided for projects that require them. Projects will conclude around 1 p.m. Participants will also be entered to win various drawings.

In 1937, the Ohio River flooded the city of Louisville and caused massive devastation. Southern Seminary was on high ground, and thus had a unique position to help, rowing out in boats to help stranded people, housing individuals on campus, and even providing temporary office space for the mayor. In honor of that historic event, every year Southern Seminary serves the city of Louisville through the .
