Description
This scholarship is designed to provide tuition assistance to qualified students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees in biblical counseling at The ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï and Boyce College. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and are divided equally between Fall and Spring semesters. Selected Boyce students may receive an award to cover between 12-15 credit hours per semester and selected Southern students may receive an award to cover between 9-12 credit hours per semester.
Qualifications
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Students must be full-time (9+ paid credit hours at Southern and 12+ paid credit hours at Boyce) and must be taking courses at the Louisville campus. Online students are not eligible to apply. Students taking both on-campus and internet courses are eligible to apply if enrolled in a greater number of on-campus hours than online hours.
- Undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Biblical Counseling who have enrolled in or completed a minimum of 48 hours of courses at Boyce College.
- Graduate students pursuing a Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Biblical Counseling who have enrolled in or completed a minimum of 18 hours of coursework at The ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï. Students who are pursuing a different degree and a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Counseling are not eligible.
- Eligible students must be able to express a genuine intent to serve the Lord, Jesus Christ in the ministry/vocation of biblical counseling upon graduation.
- Students must maintain good academic standing for eligibility. Students on academic warning, academic probation, or disciplinary probation are not eligible to apply.
- Students must complete the scholarship application .
Note: This scholarship may not be combined with other institutional scholarships or grants. Recipients of this scholarship who continue to meet the above qualifications may receive an award for a maximum of two academic years and a maximum of 60 hours (bachelor’s degree) or 48 hours (master’s degree). Students do not need to reapply in the second year.
